Master Cleanse Recipe – Using Glass Size

Diet Master Cleanse or Lemon Juice Recipe

3/4 C or 12 tbsp. Lemon juice

1/2 tsp. Cayenne pepper

3/4 C or 12 tbsp. Maple Syrup Grade B

7 1/2 C or 60 ounces. Filtered water

Mix all ingredients together. Use an empty 32 oz glass juice bottle or plastic water bottle for storage and gulping. Makes 6 servings. 6 servings = 1 day’s worth of Master Cleanse.

* Use fresh lemon juice.

* Maple syrup must be Grade B.

* Water must be purified.

* Organic if possible. (Choice)

* Can use lemon pulp -not in the original recipe, but I find it more cost effective, and doesn’t change the yield.

Single Serving Master Cleaning

2 tbsp. Lemon juice

2 tbsp. Maple syrup

1/10 tsp. Cayenne pepper powder

1 1/4 C or 10 oz. Filtered water

Take the Single Serving Recipe 6 times a day to equal the value of the Master Cleanse throughout the day.

Salt Water Flush

4 C or 32 oz pure water

2 tbsp. Non-iodized Sea Salt

Mix all the ingredients together and heat on the stove until the salt dissolves. Drink all 32 oz. of salt water.

The salt water acts as an enema and causes an immediate release. If nothing happens, do another brine flush adding more salt.

Salt water is supposed to trick the mind into thinking that it is blood and therefore not being absorbed by the body. Do this in the morning, but leave the whole day free for this experiment.

Detox Herbal Tea

Can be purchased at drugstores or online vitamin stores. It is recommended to drink detox tea every night and splash salt water in the morning (but I prefer to skip the detox tea as I find it unnecessary.)

Pros and Cons of Master Cleanse

Pros: Will lose weight quickly, but can gain weight back after eating solid foods. Maybe better than the current diet. If you thrive on structure and few food choices, it can allow you to focus on healthy eating and lifestyle changes. It can help rid your body of toxins and other ailments.

Cons: May feel irritable and dizzy in the first few days. Can be Expensive. You may need an electric Lemon Squeeze as making lemon juice manually is tedious. Detox tea can cause diarrhea and painful cramps without elimination. The Salt Water Flush may have no elimination. If there is no elimination, salt water can be absorbed by the body, making a person physically bloated and swollen. Bad breath. Should not be used by people who are pregnant or breastfeeding. May affect medication. I have also found that those who are already moderately healthy or vegetarians do not benefit from the Master Cleanse as do people who are heavy meat eaters or those who eat a lot of junk food.

Note: I find doing detox teas and salt water flushes a bit difficult for most people. Side effects can include painful cramps or bloating. I would only recommend doing a salt water flush and not a detox tea no more than once a day for a maximum of 1-2 days. (This is from personal experience, and no part of the original master cleaning instructions.)
